reverse sensor ?

My 05 expy's reverse sensors (RSS) are apparently failing to work. Anyone have any ideas on how to trouble shoot the system. I am going to check for blown fuse today, but I have a feeling the fuse is not the issue, due to the fact that it was working recently. It is almost like the sensor tappered off from the 6 feet down to 5 feet ect... over the past month and does not work at all. Thanks for the help!

Does the off light on the dash switch stay lit? If so there is a fault with the system,A Factory scan tool is needed to retrieve codes from the RSS System most likely 1 or more of the sensors is bad,My F150 had 1 bad sensor dealer wholesale on the sensor was like $80! I got one off eBay for $25

It should have a switch on the dash so the system can be turned off when towing a trailer,If there is a fault in the RSS System the OFF in the switch will glow it will also glow when the switch has been turned off,If there is a fault in the system you will not be able to turn the RSS on by pushing the switch.

It could be that my wife has simply turned it off by accident. I will check that for sure. I really appreciate the help. Thanks

Up date! The reverse sensors seem to be working okay today. No indicator light of any kind and it is on! I checked it myself. Is it possible that the sensors are simply becoming less sensitive?

Sometimes if water droplets are on them or if they are excessively dirty they will not work,Mine were sometimes working sometimes not before the sensor finally went bad.
