I bought OEM Navigation System off Ebay, its an 2008 model and installed into a 2007 Expedition. Everything seems to work great, except the logo displayes Mercury Logo. Is there a way to have it programmed to display the Ford logo. I did have a Mercury Dealer install it, is there a way to fix the problem or was it installed incorrectly. Any help would be great.

hummm you may have bought a unit that was taken out of a mercury vehicle. as far as reprograming it i have no idea.

 

thats exacly the case. they are all over ebay. if i remember correctly, you cannot change the screen.

 

As a matter of fact you might be able. Take it to your Ford dealer and ask them to change the splash screen. I know one of my buddies did, somehow...

 

This may be an elementary question. I was wanting to add a Ford OEM Navigation to my '06 F-150. There are so many of these units on Ebay, how can you know which will work in your year truck? I've tried cantacting the local Ford dealer, and they haven't returned my call.

I just had a Factory Nav from FORD installed last week...I have the paperwork showing that. I bought this off ebay and it was not programmed for a F150 because it was out of a Ford 150, the guy from ebay forgot to tell me that. I finally got a dealership to switch that one out with a new one from Ford. Now I want to add the aftermarket one becuase I want to be able to play dvd's. My factory one is programmed for the Audiophile Sub, AUX input, and it is currently in my 07 FX4. It also comes with SIRIUS KIT If you are interested let me know.
