sans plastic body cladding.....

Does anyone know where I can view pics of an '03-'06 Expedition that has had the lower plastic body cladding removed? I know a lot of people paint these parts but I'm thinking I would like to remove them. I know there will be mounting holes but there might be a way to deal with that.

I've looked on the internet but haven't found anything.

Anyone here had body work done to their Expy and got pics?

Thanks!

Me too

my cladding is getting a little shabby looking, and I *think* I can hear it vibrate at highway speeds. My wifed noticed it too. I looked through the Ford OEM CD manual and I couldn't find anything about how to remove it.

What year did Ford fix the side cladding fade issue...or did they ever? I was looking at trading my '98 for an @ '04 model, and I've seen several '03's with the cladding faded almost white. Would like to avoid the issue if possible.

TIA

You know what??/ My folks have matching Expys of that year. One is "faded" one is not. The difference? The "faded" one has been washed evclusivly at car washes while my dad washes his own. Who knows...could be somethin.

There was a TSB for the cladding in which Ford would replace all of it for free.

If the cladding was painted (Eddie Bauer) it wouldn't fade. if it was just the molded plastic (un-painted) it would.

It was free to have this done if you were under warranty.
