2003 4WD Expedition wheel alignment...
Well, after getting 35K miles out of the crappy Continental Tires, we are finally getting rid of them for a set of Michelin LTX M/S. I was able to get a set of them from Costco, installed and out the door for $740.00, which seems like a decent price?
Now to the question, how many of you have had an alignment done after installing new tires? I have had the general problems of cupping on the outer edges, but should I blame the Continental's for that? Those of you who have had wheel alignments done, was the truck actually out of alignment or was it just checked and fine, with no adjustments? Did you take it back to the dealer, or use another shop? What is the technology available today to ensure I get the best alignment for the price? Should I be looking for any special equipment? Also, since this model does not have solid axles (like the pre -2003's), is this a four-wheel alignment or just the front end? Thanks in advance for your help. This forum is always a great help!

I would invest in a 4-wheel alignment. It will help the new tires wear evenly
