Misfire...changed plugs, now what?

Ok, check engine light came on yesterday, the truck was "bucking" and i knew i had trouble. Scanned it, and came back "misfire in #3"...so i take it into the dealer and they install 8 new plugs. (Bosch +4).....They call me up just now and tell me that there is still a slight misfire in #3. They said tommorow they are going to move the coil packs around and see if that is what may still be causing the misfire.

Sounds reasonable to me....does this sounds correct to you guys as well and is there anything else I should be aware of that may cause this misfire? Thanks. MATT

its a 5.4L BTW

Sounds like a bad coilpack to me. Why don't they just put a new coilpack on no.3?

well it was the coil pack, they charged me 80 bucks for that, and 3 hours of labor to replace that and all 8 spark plugs. 330 bucks something like that, now she runs like a champ!

That price isn't all that bad. I recently did a 5.4 plugs and one coil pack, charged 309 for it.

98Navi, I had heard that the book time for changing plugs on the 5.4 is 3 hrs. If thats true thenit sounds like you got a fair price on the work done.
