DURING THE LAST "SNOW STORM (03-24-05)", I NOTICED THAT MY WIPERS STOP WORKING ON THE HIGHWAY, I TURNRD THEM OFF AND THEN BACK ON AND THEY KEPT WORKING , AS I WAS PULLING INTO THE GARAGE THEY STOPPED WORKING AGAIN AND NOW THEY ARE STUCK IN THE UP POSITION ON THE WINDSHIELD
ANYBODY HAVE ANY IDEA, IM THINKING THE TURN SIGNAL SWITCH ??? (I WILL CHECK THE FUSE).
THE LAST TIME IT WENT BAD MY LOW BEAMS STOPPED WORKING ONLY THE HIGH BEAMS WORKED.
ITS SUPPOSE TO RAIN FOR THE NEXT 4 DAYS HERE IN THE UPPER NORTH EAST. ( F*#@ S_ _ t?)
(BY THE WAY ITS A 97 EXPEDITION 2WD XLT 4.6L )

I was curious as to how your Wiper problem came out. I have had trouble with my wipers since I got the Exp. Turn the switch and nothing happens, jiggle it a little and they run. Was it your motor or the actual switch with your wipers.

switch out come.....
i changed the switch, bought a new one from FORD came out to be $102.00, the job took around 20 minutues to do, not a big deal for a Do it your selfer (3 phillip screws and 2 hex scews #20), after i changed the switch and put everything together it still didnt work, I WAS PISSED!!!!, I CHECKED the fuse #11 in the fuse box and noticed that for some reason it was loose, i wiggled it up and down the wipers would work when i wiggled the fuse also noticed a very small spark (do this in the dark so you can see the spark if any), i pulled the fuse out and saw it was dirty with black dust from the spark then cleaned it out, i also flexed the tip end of the fuse slightly and everything been working since FRIDAY (here in the east coast it has been pouring cat and dogs)
My suggestion is to start the wippers, they go to the fuse box and wiggle #11, look for spark and see if the wipers move when you wiggle the fuse (#11 with green 30 ), change if for a new or flex the end, for some reason the fuse connectors in the fuse box
expand and dont hold the fuse tight , i have had two fuses with the same problem...
hope this info gets you back to wipping, if its not that then it has to be the switch.
