I finally got the xcalibrator from troyer yesterday and installed the 87 tune until I get through the tank of 87 gas so I can put 91 in and load the 91 performance tune. I must say that even with the 87 tune the engine characteristics really are much better. Response is much better and the shift points, shift firmness really make the car a lot more fun to drive. I can't wait to see what the 91 performance tune feels like.
Also, AirAid has the intake kit available as of yesterday for the 05' Expy. It is really the same as the f150 kit except it mounts a little different where the filter sits. I ordered one and will post install pics and a review when I get it. The part # is 400-166.

I'm going to go that route soon.
I just ordered a set of 05 Lariat Wheels and tires (take offs) to put on my wife's 03 XLT. 3 of them arrived today. The other is going to be on tomorrow's truck (argh!!). I also have a set of fender flares that I got off of an ebay auctionFender Flares. They are factory ford parts. I think EGR makes these for ford. They are part number 3L1Z 16268AAB in Platinum. I'll post pics as soon as I get everything on. Next thing I'm going to do is paint the grey plastic panels black.

The intake kit will look almost exactly like the one in my gallery on my F150. I did a comparison on the engine bay space for my f150 and the expy and the dimensions for the intake tract are almost bang on.
On the F150 I was amazed at the difference in power at all rpm's when I put the intake on. The engine was also much more responsive. I also got an average of 1.4mpg better gas mileage. I am really hoping for the same results on the Expy. I am sure it will be the same since it is the same engine and same intake for the most part. I think the only difference between the two is the mounting and filter housing design.

I just ordered my Troyer tuned Xcalibrator for the 2005 Expedition. I had a MAC air intake on my 2000 Expedition and it honked pretty good under anything more than cracked throttle. Does the air raid honk like that as well?
