side panel fading

My 2004 white expy with gray side panels has a problem. The side panels which match the front and rear bumper are fading and have developed "rings" from the center out. I have seen a few of the expys down here in South Florida with it also. Is this just a local problem, or has anyone else noticed this

Kevin

It's not just you. I've seen posts at FTW from a couple of members with the same problem. Kenny is in Cal. and said Ford replaced his plastic cladding on his 03 because there is a TSB on it.

My 03 XLT has that problem. I just put some Armorall on them when I wash it and it doesn't show. I've got some low sheen stuff for interior use that doesn't give it that greasy look.

You should not have to do that on a 2003 truck. I just sold a 94 Grand Cherokee Larado and the plastic panels on it were not faded as bad as some of the 03 Expy's I've seen. THat's just unacceptable on a $35,000 truck.

I agree, that's just what I'm doing for now until I have the grey panels painted black to match the rest of my Expi.
