Sirius Module

I just bought an 05 Navigator and was wondering if anyone knows:

1. Where do they install the Sirius module

and

2. Why does everything sound so bass heavy on Sirius, is it the way Sirius sends the signal or is it the equalalizion inside the Navigator radio. ( I think it sounds terrible, imho.)

Thanks,

I can help with question #2... It's the settings. Sirius played thru a good system sounds normal.

I was impressed that you have got some bass. I think the THX system that I have sucks. It is very underpowered concerning the low end of the system.

Thanks, for the reply. I think that the radio just has a bad preset eq curve. Hopefully it can be cleared up with JL Audio's new "Cleansweep" when it becomes available.

The Sirius in my 99 EB w/premium system sounds great! I wish the control head was smaller and allowed changing color of the face like the XM Roadie will (mine's the Audiovox). I need a new center console insert from the "extra" experimental drill holes I have now. I ended up making a 45 degree mount out of sheetmetal and attaching that to the inside of the console insert next to the dash. Down far enough all the slide outs work.
