05 Expedition Pricing - HELP!

Hello.

I spend most of my time in the 04 - 05 F150 board with my vibrating blazing yellow truck. But my wife wants an 05 Expedition 4 x 4 and I need some help on pricing.

We found an 05 XLT 4 x 4 that stickered for $ 39,770.00. The 05's have a $ 2,000.00 rebate and the dealership is only discounting the Expedition $ 4,200.00. Does this sound right?

We left the dealership without purchasing since I didn't feel comfortable with it. Can anyone tell me if that was a good deal? I would have sworn I've seen Expeditions discounted more like 15% off sticker and a rebate on top of that. As of now, they are only discounting it 10% - 11% off of sticker.

Looking for some advise. Any help is appreciated and we are looking to purchase by Friday to take advantage of the tax law thats currently in effect for business owners.

I'm interested also, as I hope I'll be in the market for a new Expy shortly. I know that several times during 2004, I saw new Expy's and Tahoes in my area advertised at around $7000 off MSRP. Did you mean that the total price they gave you was $4200 off MSRP?

I ran across this dealership on Ebay that's in Houston. These are 2 wheel drive Eddie Bauer's (5 to choose from) for $32,991. They've got a 05 4x4 EB for $39,459 and a Limited 05 listed for $37,201. Mac Haik Ford

That sounds more like it. The cheapest 4x2 EB Expy that I've seen on a dealer's lot had a MSRP of $40,200. If you go to Ford's website and build a 4x2 EB Expy, with no options at all (keep in mind an EB is pretty well loaded) it still has a MSRP of just under $40,000.

It was a discount of $ 4,200.00 off of MSRP and a $ 2,000.00 rebate on top of that for a total of $ 6,200.00.

Thanks for the input and I will look into the Mac Haik site and possibly head to Houston.

Right on..

The 4200+2000 is the same as X plan pricing plus rebates. You can just try to hold out for more rebates. I got my '03, there was normal 2000 rebate plus 3000 end of year deal and for x plan people another 1000, Paid $26500 for a new XLT that listed for 36000.. Deal I couldnt pass up.
Good Luck.

I bought a 2wd Limited 12/15/04. Rebates were a total of 4000.00
3500.00 normal, then another 500.00 (rebate) for x-plan

I just bought my 04 Expy about 3 weeks ago. They gave me a choice of either 6000 cash back with 4.9% for 5 years or $2000 cash back and 0% for 5 years. If you go to fordvehicles.com, they have a page on the incentives for each vehicle. I'd check there for the most up to date info.

the deal on ANY Ford - less SVT's is invoice and you keep what
ever rebates they are offering (unless you opt for the low
APR financing). That money is yours and it's from the factory..
don't let the dealership dupe you into getting to invoice by
using that money. Check edmunds.com for invoice price.

just call the fleet manager of the dealership and tell him that's
the deal you want to make.

he'll have the paper work all ready to go when you get down
there and the whole transaction will take 45 minutes tops.

new expy

Not sure if this helps but I bought an 05 limited edt. on 12/31/04 for $11,120 off MSRP....brand new. That had over $2,000 off in rebates... but I also got the 2.9% for 48 with that price. I had a choice between $9,200 off MSRP for the same model with 0 miles and minus a navigation system or the demo with 2,000 miles and the navigation system... I went for the later... I also got the finance dept. to give me the 2.9% for 48 and the premium. plus (best one) extended warranty 100K/7yrs for cost ($2460)....And yes this was a 2005 model Limited Edition with all the options except 4x4 and advanced trac.

Thumbs up

My 2005 Exp XLT 4x4 that I should be getting Friday has a MSRP of 39k and some change and I am getting it for $32,215.00. I am sure that if I waited till later in the year I could get a better deal, but I can't wait.
