Just curious as to what you get city and hwy as an average..

Just to compare to see if I am in the right dept or if I should be looking around ot try and fix something. The service engine light is on for the EGR insuffienct flow, so I am assuming the sensor as most everyone has stated thta.

But with it going on and off at random

I get....

9.3city
14.2 hwy....

If I have a steady 55mph, then I'll get 16 or 17....

Is this about right or???

What are you getting?

do you pay attention to what you get?

or is it you just don't care about gas mileage. 37 people who checked this out have no opinion or guess whatso ever...

Come on Ford site, let's get involved with the site and start giving our opinions on things. By not stating anything causes the site to move extremely slow with slow response times.

It all starts with a simple comment. If you don't care, then say " I don't care about my gas, I'm bill gates son" or anything...

Don't just look at it even thought you may have an opinion and move to the next post...If I know something about anything I'll give my 2c but damn, this is a generalized question about gas. Isn't not technical eletrical engineering questions. Its what do you thihnk you get in gas in terms of MPG.... UIts not rocket science...

we need a little fuel in these rooms

I picked up an '04 Navigator about a week ago, so it's a little premature. I'm showing 11.0 so far in 100 miles of city driving. The F-150 4x4 I traded got around 12.5 in town and just under 19 on the freeway. That was a great truck, but I needed to switch to something with more room inside.

Just sold an 04 F-250 with a 5.4 and got 11.5 in the city and 14 on the interstate. Bought an 05 f-150 in hopes that it will be better.

I get 11-12mpg in city - which is all city, short trip driving (couple
miles).

on long trips, like up to san fran - it'll hit 15-16mpg tops (400 mile
trip, averaging 75mph).

not the best gas mileage but I don't really care. Not being
cramped in a car is worth it.

2003 EB 4X4

Average 11mpg on fillups with 70% city. Guessing worse on all city driving though my wife drives it and doesn't seem to understand that the gas pedal is variable. She treats it as either on or off.

On long trips we get 16mpg at 75mph

I just returned from a 1500 mile trip from NE Ohio to the NC Outer Banks and return. On the southern end of the trip (all flat land) I averaged 16.5. On the Northern end of the trip (WV mountains and mountains in VA too) I averaged 14.2. This was in a heavily loaded down 98 EB 4x4 5.4 w/ 69k miles.

Seems that I am gettin the shaft on the mileage..

Lucky to get 10 city and on long trips 12-13 mpg.

Maybe mine is broke! Been like that for awhile now. I was thinking that it was bad gas, but no matter where I get it, its the same thing.

Any ideas on upping the mileage???
