Question 2004 expy: Towing and load-leveling pkg

Hi all,
Currently we have a 1999 expy EB with 5.4L, tow package and the rear load-leveling option. Back when we tested them, we felt the ones with LL handled and rode much better. We also pull a 5000 lb camper and it handles that very well with no problem.

We were debating on getting a 2004 or a 2005, and were recently tempted by the $4500 rebate you can get on a 2004. Unfortunately, there are very few with the LL option.

For 2003/2004 Expy owners: if you have or test-drove an Expy with LL option, how big was the difference compared to the standard suspension? Have you noticed any impact when towing heavy trailers?

I'm still torn between getting a 2004 now or ordering a 2005.

Thanks in advance for your opinions!

BTW - I also drove a 2005 Expy Limited- not a substantial difference with the new motor - a little smoother, a little more power (15 lb-ft increase in torque I think?). Also, not sure if I like the new dash - it has all the gauges in 2 large circles, with the top part of each for tach/speedo, and the bottom half or third split for 2 of the 4 other gauges (fuel, temp, batt, oil). Then there is an open space between them for the info center, and a plaque that says Expedition - havent seen a picture online or I'd post a link.
