My point exactly. It was an OPTION, not a trim-level. Today's NBX is a trim-level that incorporates all the goodies from the FX4 option and then some- to make it a unique trim setting...

I just wish the Expy came with a floor shifter.... That would be awesome.

Doesn't really matter whether you call it a pkg or trim level... Ford doesn't offer EITHER the FX/4 or the NBX any more.

According to the Ford website, the NBX has been discontinued!

So far, it's still on the web-site.

But, I don't doubt that they got rid of it. My buddy was the lead salesman at the Ford dealership here and he told me that they didn't even order any NBX's because no one showed interest in them; and hardly any interest in the 4x4's at all. Then again; that might be a different story in Northern AZ, Utah, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, IL, etc.. where they get snow, and may actually need 4 x 4. If you live below the Mason-Dixon line, you'll probably be able to count the times on one hand that you'd be able to say. "Good thing I had 4-wheel drive".

They still have the feature section up, but in the "Build It" area, the NBX is gone.

Also, if you go into the "Competitive Comparison" section and choose the NBX as the Ford vehicle, it says "discontinued".
