05 Expedition
2005 Expy
There is a new standard engine in all models. It is a 301hp 3 valve 5.4L engine. The 4.6L has been dropped.
There is a new Limited version with monotone paint all around, power fold mirrors, and special designed seats.
The navigation radio is now a single DVD based system with much better coverage, and also includes a 6-disc in-dash changer.
Several of the option packages are grouped a little differently than last years models.
There are some new paint colors available. The Arizona Beige trim has now changed to Pueblo Gold.
Job 1 is set for August 2nd, so they should start rolling out on dealers lots in mid to late August.
I have had one on order since May 25th with no build date as of yet.

cutting it.
301hp is decent, but it could really use another 30-40hp.

Dealer called me today, my '05 is scheduled to be built the week of August 2nd and should arrive at the dealership by the end of August.

Wow, the 05 looks great. I can't decide between a Yukon Denali XL and an Expedition. I think the improvements to the 05 X put it over the top in comparison to the Yukon Denali line. The X is safer, better MPG and rides much better. Besides the extra 22" in the rear, I can't think of anything that is better in the GMC.

just move the torque curve up a bit to pick up the hp and stick in some 4.30 gears to cover what you might need at 1500rpm.
