Question 2004 expy cargo room?

Hi all,
Could someone with a new expy take a moment to tell me if you can fit a 4x8 sheet in the back with the 3rd row seat out/down?
Considering giving up the F150 but would hate to lose this capability.

I have the previous generation and I could and have hauled many sheets of plywood prior to getting the Lightning. You can't close the hatch all of the way if I remember correctly.

There is approximately 7 feet from the rear of the front seats to the hatch. So you cannot close the hatch all of the way. I have not measured between the wheel wells, but I am pretty sure that it is at least 4 feet, so the plywood would lay flat.

Is the 2004 a new model year for the expy like it is for the F150?

Thanks gang,
I havent' been here very regularly since researching and buying my F150 in 10/2000. See some of the same names like FamilyrRide.
Talked to a sales drone on the phone. He claims you can shut the hatch with 4x8 in the back but you have to put the front seat straight up with the steering wheel in your chest then after hanging up I thought, did he mean you can take out or lay down the 2nd row seats also? I would be wanting the 2nd row captains chairs and don't think that would work.

I can't speak about the 2nd row captains chairs, but the regular 2nd row seats fold down. I imagine the captains chairs fold as well.

Step up to the Excursion.
Then you can stack 20 sheets of plywood back there.

The '06 Expy will come in and extended version also.
