How do I remove interior panel of rear hatch?

I did a search for this and couldn't find anything. We've had a "clunk" in the back for a while. The dealer tightened the hatch under warrenty, but it is still there. Yesterday I rode in the back while my wife drove and it sounds like something is loose insided the hatch. My guess is the wiper motor or something related to it.

When I took a quick look I noticed two screws under the grab handle and two plugs at the bottom. There must be more. Please help. Thanks.

you might do a search using the rear wiper as a keyword.

If I remember right, those two screws are it. then start popping the snaps loose all the way around. There are a few snaps in the middle of the panel. Go easy so you do not break them, or loose them.

As I recall, you need to pop the moulding off of the pillar on each side. The just snap on and off. There should also be a couple plastic plugs next to where the latch is that need to be removed and then it should just pop off. Most all of the mouldings and panels on the Expedition/Navigators are held on by blind clips as their are very few screws holding anything on. Good luck and I hope you find your problem.
