Air-Bag warning light

Recently had a dead battery and now my airbag warning light keeps flashing and then stays on... any suggestions on fixing this?

Have you noticed any changes in the way your air susp has been acting? I am assuming that it is still working properly. The only time that my light came on was when the relay was on the frits and it aired the rear completely down. Of course this was on the way to a Junk yard to buy a new engine for my CJ while towing my trailer. Riding on bumpstops is no good!

Anyway I went too the dealer and they tried to get me to buy a new relay, compressor, and dryer. All in all it was about $850 in parts and labor. Of course I didn't go this route. A buddy of mine that was with me asked to look at the relay and noticed some corrosion on the terminals. We cleaned it off with a pocket knife plugged it back in and Walla! No more but saggy exped. Yes my compressor does sound like hell and needs rebuilt or replaced but I am a Coolege Student in my last semseter, it can come later.

Anyway it could be anything that is wrong with the LLS that could trigger the light, you can 1. take it to the dealer so they can read the code to find out whats wrong. or 2. buy an OBD2 code reader, I paid $130 for mine, and read the codes yourself. Mine being way out of warranty I actually did both. 1. becuase I was in a pinch and 2. becuase my Exped has 91k on it and is well out of warranty. Plus my check engine light was on.

Also for those who didn't know, you can maually air up your air susp if something goes wrong with the relay or compressor. You must turn it off with the switch underneath the dash on the passenger side. Then find the air lines that run along the frame rail there should be a quick disconnect type fitting. Pop it off then use a nozzle small enogh to fit in it on a compressed sir hose and fill her up. This works great but only if you don't have leaks in the bags.

Sorry about the length.

ACtually I did notice a wire that was loose from my horn, there are a total of 5. I am assuming that it has something to with that.

Actually I got completely onto the wrong tangent I think. You were talking about the airbag light right? I was talking about the air suspension. My bad

air bag light flashing

I have also had the same problem with the air bag light staying on after a dead battery. Did you find the fix? Please let me know if you did or know where to find the info. Thx Todd

you just need to have the memory cleared, most likely it set a low voltage code.
