OK I have been reading alot about exhaust on this site and the only conclusion that I can make is everyone has a different opinion. I used to have a mustang and has 2 chamber flowmasters on it and it sounded awesome as far as I was concerned. I have looked at the different kits from summit and others. I think what I am going to do is pick up the muffler I want and take it to a shop and have them build out the rest of the system. I want to take duals out the back. The shop I use make their own SS tips and polish them out themselves.

Couple of questions.

I have a 1998 F150SC with the 4.6L

Which flowmaster 40 Delta do I need. I know I will need a SI/DO muffler but does anyone know which part number. I want it to be almost a direct fit into the Y pipe. I think it is a 2.5" inlet but there are several outlet sizes. I want my tips to be 3"-3.5" SS and will need something to weld to.

Also, has anyone ever managed to keep their spare in place and ran duals out the back?
