F250HD cat swap

I've heard mention of swapping the cats on the F150 5.4 for cats off the F250HD 5.4. Supposedly they have only two cats not four like the F150.

The article I read said the performance was a lot better than the F150. Something about the F250HD having factory high flow cats. Is this the case?

If so, anyone know if there would be a problem with the oxygen sensors?

thanks

I haven't looked under a 5.4L Superduty but most of the Superdutys use a huge 3" inlet/outlet cat. I've had mine off "for testing" and I could see light through it. My truck doesn't have an O2 sensor after the cat. If yours does then you will have problems. I discovered during my "testing" that there was no gains in having the cat off.

I think I might go junkyarding next weekend and see what I can find in the F250/350 bones. I'd like to see iffn that swap would work. In the bone yard I'd also be able to look at the O2 sensor setup.

Where is the O2 sensor on you SD?

They are located in the Y pipe just after the manifolds.
