Question Cat Back Exhaust

I ordered the Gibson super truck cat back for my 1997 4.6 auto.
I was wanting to keep pipes coming out in front of my tire. Down south we don't have the problems with the green wheel ya'll have in cooler climates.

Anyway, I am wanting to maintain or improve torque. Now I read that alot of posters here have a preference for Magnaflow.

All input is welcomed.....I still have time to cancel or change my order.

Thanks All,
Rocks

im not an expert on this stuff but i recently got a 3 inch magna/flow cat back dumped on my 94 f-150 xlt 5.8. i am very pleased with it. it has a very nice deep smooth sound to it. I plan on putting a couple more mods on top of the exhaust to get it a bit louder. basically I think i got a great quality sound out of this system. oh and i got a performance boost also. Im not sure how much but i can tell the difference when i press the pedal at stop lights.
