Question Flowmaster for my SuperCrew?

I am thinking about doing a few things to my 2001 SuperCrew 4x4 with the 5.4 triton. It is completly stock right now, but I am in the need for speed. Here's my plan: put in a Superchip, K&N filter, and a flowmaster 50 series muffler. Is there anything you would change (FIPK instead of the filter, cat back instead of just the muffler)? Give me your thoughts and opinions. Thanks

Here's my $0.02.

Put the Flowmaster 50 Delta Flow on the stock pipes. KN filter in the stock housing. Gained about 1 mpg. Sounds good - not too loud. Ran better after about 1,000/1,500 miles.

Personaaly, I used the money I saved on the FIPK (air filter only) and cat back (muffler only) to buy other "stuff" for the truck. Hey it's your wallet and truck - do what you want!

I just got my dual Flowmaster 40's installed today. Went with dual mufflers to go along with the factory dual exhaust on the HD. Damn thing is LOUD!

I just had the FM50 installed this afternoon. Went with 3" pipe from the cats all the way out. Nice chrome tip as well. Inside sound of course is louder but tolerable. Outside sound is nice and tight! Seems more light a truck now.

Good Luck!

I have K&N FIPK and it does help throttle control esp. w/ cat. back exhaust ( it also makes it sound beefier). I noticed the difference as soon as I installed it. I'm happy, I just beat a 5.9ltr. dodge darengo with a 4.6ltr. truck!!!

Good luck with whatever you decide.
