Thumbs up dual exhaust

This is for those of you who have dual exhaust questions. I have a 99 f150 4x4 with the 5.4l. I recently had a local muffler shop install true dual exhaust. they used full boar mufflers, the lower pitched ones, I guess they have a couple of different kinds. I Don't notice any drop in torque, and the wheels seem to spin easier. As far as the sound, they are pretty quiet at idle, but over all have a ( I would compare it to a new mustang gt, only louder sound) not like glasspacks. I haven't heard them outside of the truck though. On the highway the rpm's are to high to produce any kind of interior noise, ok a little. overall I am pretty satisfied with the outcome. hopefully this will help someone out. anyone in springfield mo with hints tips or questions, feel free to email. I also have a 94 t-bird, basic mods. later

I was thinking of splitting mine to true duals with 2 flowmaster mufflers. Would you recommend it? How much did they charge you to split it off to true duals? Thanks.

the muffler shop that I used, cost $400. I told them that I wanted the american thunder sound, and told me that the mufflers that they use are better. but of course everyone says that. however I put flowmaster mufflers on my t-bird, and they rusted out in a little over a year, sounded good though. like I said the first time, I haven't heard them outside of the truck, but I think it sounds pretty good. The mufflers that they used were like $97. I didn't want to wait for the flowmasters to be shipped. if this didn't help you can email me at nikita712000@mchsi.com. by the way how do you like your air intake, I was going to get the k&n fipk, I have it on my car? good luck
