Depending on what part of Houston, I recommend American Brake and Muffler. They have two shops, one in The Woodlands, and the one I prefer in Conroe. So far I don't have any complaints, and they do really good work. Their prices are VERY reasonable.

I had my Flowmaster installed at
Ripley's Muffler
2302 FM 1960 at Kuykendahl
Family owned business. Been around since the early 70's. Did a good job at a fair price for me. Less than 2 hours in and out.
Photo of work. Did a good job of fitting and using the hangers.

muffler shops

Whatever you do, do not go to Mike's Mufflers. They bend pipe like crap and i had to redo it. I know a place caled Affordable Muffler. IT is located at I-10 and Dairy Ashford. They will put on whatever kind of exhaust u want for cheap. I put the flowmaster 40 series 1 in 2 out muffler on. It doesnt add much performance but it definitely rumbles. I have found that the flowmaster 40 series maintains and increases decible levels as rpm's increase - much better than the chevy's do. If you want performance, i would go with dynamax, or if u want to spend a little more money, go with borla. U cant go wrong with that. They will put on almost any exhaust system for under 299.

i should be a salesman for them.

hope this helps. let us know how it goes.
