Ford racing 87mm throttle body

I bought a ford racing 87 mm throttle body to put on my mustang. The 87 is actually off of the gt 350 engine and is a lot cheaper than the 90 mm unit. Anyway, the 90 is a direct bolt on to the stock coyote intake, you just need the ford racing throttle body adapter https://performanceparts.ford.com/part/M-9474-M50

What I didn't realize is the bolt pattern is different on the 87mm, it's more rectangular. So if you plan on an 87 mm TB for your coyote, DO NOT use the above TB adapter, it does not fit. The adapter is for the Ford racing 90mm TB, it may also fit the BBK 85 and 90 mm TB's but I can't verify that.

Blowfish racing does make an adapter just for the 87 mm TB https://www.blowfishracing.com/engin...y-adapter.html

So if anyone plans on putting a 90 mm tb on your coyote, I have the correct adapter you need. Just contact me via PM

Oh and before you ask, the 90 mm tb is 6 bills on amazon, the 87 was a buck 60.

160 + 70 sure beats 600 + 68!

Since I'm still naturally aspirated, that extra 3 mm won't make a difference, and I saved a ton of money.

Interesting.

I have considered a TB upgrade for my truck, but with how often I use it, and for how much they cost, probably wont amount enough to me. The custom tune is all I should need performance wise.
