I know I'll get crap about this, but I went ahead and added a stack last year. I ran an electric cutout before the flowmaster to divert the exhaust into the stack by the flick of switch if I wanted too. I cut the rear pipe off going over the axle so you couldn't see it.
On cold days it looked really cool of course. I got the occasional question that got a cummins in it?
At low speeds the sound was very nice but cruising at say 65-70 was just too much. I also have the rear 2 cats removed.
I ended up removing it.
Thought I would post pics in case anyone ever wanted to see what it would look like.
I'm a fan of stacks on diesels, but not gas trucks. Looks kind of strange on our smaller F150's too. But I'll admit you have ***** for attempting it haha.
I would have kept it as I didn't mind the look of it. However the setup I had it was just way to loud when cruising on the highway. Luckily I ran the electric cutout so I was able to quiet it down, but some of the exhaust still got past the plate and the sound got amplified. At least now there are pics for anyone else who might want to attempt it.
When I cut the hole through the bed I kept the piece for the bed liner and bed and just reused it once I took the stack off.
