Need Advice on Headers

I want to get a set of Headers for my f150. Its a 1999 xlt 4.6L 4x4.
Who has put headers on their truck, in this body style and engine? Any Pros and Cons? Install advice? Brand advice? Where to buy? Was install easy? Or would you suggest having a pro install?... What do you like about having headers?
I dont want to spend over $500.

I am not sure that you will see much gain with headers on that setup. I had a 2001 F-150 with that engine, and I put true duals, an air intake and a programmer and it was still pretty lame. The engine sounded great with the duals on it, but it just wouldn't go anywhere. I guess the thing is that I don't think the manifolds are the limiting factor on those. I think you could run into manifold bolts breaking off as well which will be a big pain and expense. I probably would spend my money else where like maybe some lower gears for it. That would give it more of a boost, but also cost a lot more. Not trying to be a downer, just practical.

Pacesetter makes 4.6L headers affordably.

Glad I could help. That motor does sound really good with a nice set of true duals. I put them on my 2001 4.6 with an H pipe and Dyno Max Super turbos and echo tubes and it sounded really good.
