Hello everyone I have a 06 with the 3v 5.4l. My current exhust is all stock untill where the muffler was. That was cut off and a y pipe was added and then 2.25 pipes were run out the back from the stock 2.5. It's kinda loud for highway and interstate driving so I wanna add a muffler. I still want it decently loud but with less cab drone. Should I add a single muffler before the y pipe or a 1in 2 out magna flow, dynomax, etc... Any advice would be great! Also I've heard magnaflows are quiet... What's the louder series? Thank you

 

I put a dynomax super turbo on and love it! Nice rumble. Loud when u get on it and no drone on the highway!!!

Thank you! I've heard great from dynomax on the 5.4s. I've just had trouble finding one with a 2.5 inlet and dual 2.25 outlets.

 

Throw a single magnaflow in there. That's what I did. Makes no difference either way

 

Flowmaster or magnaflow exhaust system will surely be a great choice. Decent looking, but produces amazing mind bubbling sound.

 

if you want a louder muffler, I recommend Dynomax. This muffler is not pricey also.

 

You can use a single muffler with a Magnaflow Y pipe that is single 2.5" to dual 2.25". I used one of these for my tailpipes however I ran 3" to dual 2.5". Held up great and sounds awesome with the #14419 round muffler.
