Post 5.4 cmcv

That moment when your driving on the highway and she starts blinking at you.. sucked a small piece of cardboard into the engine bay catching fire. Burned a vacuum line in half . Road side repair with a heat shirnk. Didn't stop the flashing CEL. Drove home approx 30 miles 65/70mph with some hesitation. Get home ,hook up OBD,10 dtc's. Stripped her down to the valve cover. Pulled out the intake manifold. Wouldn't take know cmcv was hanging on by one bolt. Two ears have been broken off. Spent the 120$ on FoMoCo parts. Yeah autoz one and others have Chinese ones for 1/2 the price. But I'm not interested in a buffet of parts. Installing new part tomorrow. Thinking about cleaning injectors. Justtt did the plugs and accel cop's a week ago. But I'm going through to check them a buddy told me I could have put them in to tight and cracked them. I've gotta fix it I went from horse power to kitty power and my mpg is GONE

Accel cops are a mistake in that engine. Motorcraft plugs and cops, please. Proper antiseize and dielectric application is critical.

Please list the exact DTC's by number.

.. crap I dropped a weeks pay on the accel cops. Suggesting going back to oem? Motorcraft parts only I believe in factory parts . Besides I'd never run a champion plug not even in my lawn mower.

All those codes together point toward a blown fuse or a major wiring issue in the harness between the engine and PCM. I think the fire may have burned more than just a vacuum line.

Accel cops have a horrible bad out of the box record. Yes, I am suggesting OEM.
