Universal Cats / Lost power

Hello recently i had a rattling sound on my Harley, i took it to a local shop and they told me that my cats were fried. I got two universal ones at a muffler shop but i noticed that they were about half the size of the stock ones. I asked if that would be a problem and they told me no. i just wanted for the rattling sound to stop so i got them, not knowing fo what could happen. Ever since, my Supercharged Harley Davidson seems to struggle on accelerating to second gear. The truck seems heavier and i cant even burn my tires anymore. Could this be due to the universal cats?

Quite possibly. If they put their own unknown name cats in it they cold be more restricted. OEM cats flow very well even the 4 cat systems. I would change them out for the Magnaflow or Bassani cats meant for your exact truck.

Here's the Magnaflow direct-fit converters.

Magnaflow left side converter

Magnaflow right side converter

If you don't mind a little cutting, you can get two of the clamp/weld-in converters. These are the ones for your Truck per Magnaflow.

Magnaflow Semi-Universal Converter

What was the diameter of the cats compared to the stock exhaust? Seems like a pretty crappy shop if they put cats on that were way too small.
