Bung plug size

I finally finished up the saga of my OBX long tubes. But, the damn things have 6 holes for the O2's, which there are only 4 of. So, I need two bung plugs for the other holes.

What size are the taps/threads/holes for a 2006 5.4? I can't seem to find much. I've seen one person say 15 x 1.5 mm (which apparently aren't available) and another say 18 x 1.5 mm (which are available). But those are the ONLY 2 mentionings I have found.

Shouldn't only two go onto the headers and the other two by the cats? Or are the two by the cats included in the six?..
I don't remember the exact size tho. But i do know that a spark plug non fouller fits inside it. Ha..

I have the kit with the resonators in place of cats. I would've liked cats, but OBX doesn't offer them for the 04-08's. There is one bung on each end of the resonator, then another on the y pipe. But why the ones in the y pipe are there I have no idea haha.

I just might get non foulers and try to plug their little holes up. I hope it's just a standard plug size though!

Thanks 88! I'll see if I can pick one I those up and stick it in there.

In hind sight, I would've gotten a true duals set up. But I wanted to retain my $600 stainless catbacks. I'm gonna have to get rid of it down the road though

Dewser, I asked the asses at O'reileys if they had bung plugs. EVERY person working there started laughing! And none of them had any idea what I was talking about even after I explained what they were

I got mine from Summit.

They are called Oxygen Senors plugs. You can find 'em everywhere. I'm guessing OBX added the extra bungs, in case you want to run a wideband A/FR gauge or other accessories.

I've seen them on summit, but didn't know if they were the proper size or not. I guess if they're 18mm, I'll just try them out. I'm gonna do a temporary fix today until I get some in

Just ordered a pair off of the link, thanks! Only 20 bucks so I gave it a shot

Not surprised. Hell, I laughed! Of course, you already knew I was an ***.

At least I knew what you were talking about.

Auto parts stores' employees are clowns! Right after I made this thread, I was like "Damn! I should've said 'O2 sensor plugs' or something cause nobody knows what bung plugs are!"

Well we obviously knew ha.
Most auto part stores are full of high schoolers looking for a summer job.

I didn't mean to discredit you guys!

But I definitely agree with that. I guess it doesn't make financial sense to hire knowledgable employees though. Those that know work for shops for a lot more money haha
