Best set of headers for 5.4L triton
Need some help on what type of headers to put on my truck. I have a 2005 Supercrew 4x4 5.4L triton. Currently I have a CAT-back flowmaster exhaust, K&N cold air intake, SCT programmer (87 perf, 87 eco, 93 perf). I tow a 22.5' boat and the truck seems to struggle a little. Just looking to add some more power and torque. I have been looking at JBA headers in stainless steel. Am I really going to feel a difference between the stainless steel and Titanium Ceramic?? Thanks in advance.

If you're doing headers, long tubes are all I'd put in. In terms of best quality and coming with everything you need like cats and y pipe: Dynatech and Stainless works. Pretty much the best money can buy for our trucks and I've never really seen any complaints about any vehicle... Trust me I've tried Lol. They run 1400-1500 or so SW being more expensive. You get what you pay for IMO, I'm adding SW to my truck in a year or so
I appreciate the quick responses from everyone. I am looking at dynatech since the header system includes the high flow cat and y-pipe assembly. Is there a big difference from dynatech and stainless works?

everyone want's "cool guy" mods: chip, dual exhaust etc while they fail to coprehend the reasoning for different modifications...
on your truck, I would use 2.5 inch piping with an H-type cross over or a single 3 inch system for maintaining proper exhaust gas velocity maintaining the powerband of the motor under the curve
all my trucks have duals (Lightning and Harley had 'em stock, and the green truck got it not too long after it came to live with me) BUT I also have other things done so the dual exhaust was another piece of the correlating puzzle

I had true duals (no x pipe) with long tube headers in my 5.4 2v. There was a loss in low end torque but an increase in high end power. Once I used a cross over (x-pipe) i regained some of my low end torque. Then to bring the duals and headers all the together for their full potential I got custom tubes from php.
