Definitely not a turbo muffler Lol. I've looked high and low and it's almost impossible to tell. Many of the mustang and Corvette guys say the stype is louder. Some say xr1. The xr1 would have a smoother tone of anything. The stype is tiny (I have one) 10" body and 5" diameter round body

The universal s-type muffler on Summit is put as their turbo muffler. Then they have the Turbo XL type as well. And then they have the XR1's as the Race muffler. Not saying either one is true but just going by what they have them listed as.

And I would have to say the S-type's are smoother based on my personal experiences with both. My GT with the Stingers was very smooth while my buddy with a 02 Saleen S281 had the round XR1's and his was much more raspy. Both had o/r x-pipes. But I guess it really depends on what vehicle you are putting them on.

Ok guys Im getting some great info and some great places to look up the parts but my main question is what muffler should I go with that doesn't have a lot of drone. I don't want to have to crank the radio or yell in the cab for someone to hear me. Or I dont want to get annoyed going down the highway doing 65-70 and get a headache.
Again thanks for the responses!

I love loud exhausts so it's subjective... Borla and Magnaflow do not drone badly in our trucks but the smaller round bodies will. The setup piecing together will probably make me one of the loudest trucks around that doesn't have headers and not many do around us in ma hahaha
