Cherry Bomb Glasspacks!

I have a '96 F-150 with a 5.0 EFI. I've been thinking about putting a Cherry Bomb glasspack on it. The exhaust is stock now, nothing fancy. Yeah, a Flowmaster would be great, but I don't have that kind of money right now. I'm looking for some insight on these with regard to performance, durability and length. Thanks!

I doubt you'd notice any difference in performance by just swapping out the muffler. If you want to notice anything you'll have to change more than that. But it will change the sound and make it a bit louder than stock. I'd go with a dynomax bullet if you're looking for a glasspack style muffler. Flowmasters are my muffler of choice though.

I have the Dynomax bullet on my truck. It's about 40k old. I like the sound and have no complaints. Not much on performance gains but sounds sweet!

Thanks for the help! Is there a muffler that does help increase power?

like av said No not really.on a naturally aspirated engine you might get a horse or 2 but nothing noticeable. there a piece of a bigger puzzle put it together with a cold air intake and a tune then you'll have some thing and if you want to go a step further put on some headers. a muffler or cat back on it's own is mainly just of sound.
