Need more turbo noise

I've decided the ole powerstroke needs more turbo noise.

The problem is, I hate the way powerstrokes sound straight piped in the high RPM range. However, I won't be at +3k very often. These trucks sound awesome low RPM, and that turbo screams at 2k.

Just do a 4 or 5 inch turbo-back exhaust. That should get you more turbo noise. My buddy has an 06 F250 with dual exits. It sounds like a jet airliner sitting on the tarmac waiting to take off lol

I mean he clearly has no cats, tuned, ARP studs/all that 6.0 bulletproofing stuff, straight piped, you name it he has done it. After doing the bulletproofing it was like night and day it is now the best diesel ever. He can use it for power/showing off and also towing like a madman. I LOVE the 6.0 at WOT, sounds sick nasty awesome.

I'm probably going to be either removing the muffler or just doing a turbo back kit. Not really sure what difference a 4" kit will make compared to my stock piping as far as sound and performance goes. I would like to think, the larger the pipe the deeper the tone?

Turbo back would give you more whistle for sure. From my understanding diesels need a bigger pipe diameter than gassers anyway since they pump out a lot more exhaust.
