Question about back pressure

I have a 05 f250 with the 5.4 and I was going to to duel exhaust with the x pipe and two mufflers would I get good back presure with that set up
X pipe part number is 10791
Mufflers are 11216
I could get it all done for around 350 is that a good price and good parts

NO! and thats what you want. you want a free flow exhaust that helps get the exhaust gases out (scavenging) not hold it back (back pressure).

X pipes are usually good for scavenging, and that is what you want.

The key is getting the correct pipe for the rpm you normally use. This will keep the exhaust gases moving through the pipe at the fastest speed to create the scavenging effect.
Too large of pipe, and the exhaust slows down and makes the engine work to push it out. Too small, and you cork the engine from giving you its full potential.

2.5inch duals with an x pipe would be a gob, and maybe to much. If it is not mandrel bent pipe, then I would probably go that way. If it is mandrel, I would go 2.25 with an X. That will keep your exhaust gases moving quickly.
Try to avoid the urge to go big, because if this truck is used for work, I don't think you will be as happy.

stick with the 11216 mufflers as there 2.5" in/out and the 10791 x pipe is also 2.5". then all the exhaust shop needs to do is bend up some 2.5" pipe to fit it all together. Now what are you doing for tips/exit.

I've got slash cut rolled edge MBRP chrome tips. I love them they have yet to rust or pit and I have had them for 3+ years behind each tire. Other then dirt you can't even tell they are 3 years old and i have never polished them.
