3" exhaust torque

I have a 2010 f150 with 5.4l Triton. Its my every day driver, but I use it to pull my 29' travel trailer in the summer. I've read the exhaust guide on this forum and have decided to do a Magnaflow 3" cat-back system (#16518). I tried searching for reviews on this system, but most of the talk is about sound rather than performance. I'm curious what people are experiencing as far as power and torque with this system or another similar 3" SI/SO cat-back system?

a cat back isn't going to do anything for pulling power on that truck...

X2.

Mods from the cats forward are for performance. Mods downstream of the cats are for sound.

You drive an F-150 so you should not have any troubles with towing at all my friend.

The 3" exhaust won't rob you of much low end torque, will make up for it with the more free breathing rpm band. Last month I towed with my truck hauling a 3600lb car on a 1,000lb trailer and it did just done on my canned 87 tow tune.

Well not all downstream of the cats mods have no effect on performance.
A flowmaster muffler would hurt your performance. That is about it though. I think the magnaflow cat back will give it a nice tone but as the others have mentioned no power to be gained there.
