Cold air on a old f150...

So i have a 2005 f150, and its around 257k km... I want to put a cold air intake on it, but is that the best idea with its mileage? will it mess with anything and cause other problem? ( Like to much strain on the engine or what not)

Will i have to change anything with the mass air flow? and re calibrate the computer??

Save your money and just do the Gotts mod.

If it is a 5.4L it will need custom computer tuned for the intake, otherwise the added air will cause a lean condition which may or may not harm the engine later on.

i just pulled my cold air intake off of my 5.4. Without a tune it can cause it to run lean. If you are interested in buying pm me

And like for regular ford dealerships tune at all? Or do you have to do it your self or see a professional?
