replacement muffler

replacement muffler

looking to replace the bulky and restrictive stock muffler on my 05 5.4. will switching to a magnaflow and stock pipes help or do i need to change to a 3inch cat back to help with the flow. truck is stock except for Gotts Mod and Amzoil panel filter.

cut it out and put a borla pro xs in its place with a filler pipe in front of it, to make up for the difference in length....cheapest most economical way to get better sound.....

Or...you could go with a Magnapack instead of the Borla Pro XS.

I hear 05 5.4s sound purty dern good with Magnapacks. That's what I hear anyway.

borla xr 1 sure seem popular on here too. Wish I had known better before I bought my Flowmaster 40.

. don't want it to loud, my neighbors will complain when I start my truck up at 4am when I leave for work. was thinking of a Maggie 11 x 22 with a y pipe outlet to 2 1/2 duals out the back.
