Hey there, I am planning on getting a true dual set up, but instead of getting 2 mufflers, only getting one with the dual in/out set up. Have any of you had or have this set up and what do you think of it?

I have true duals with a Flowmaster 70 dual-in/dual-out muffler. This is the best setup I have seen yet and it sounds great. With the limited space to install 2 mufflers, I highly recommend it!

 

I have a two in and two out muffler from Spintech. I used their "X" pipe to give me a crossover before the muffler. go to their website. http://www.spintechmuflers.com I'm very happy with the increase in torque and fuel economy. The deep sound is an added plus.

 

correct me if im wrong but if the duels share a muffler then they are no longer true duel. i thought true duel was a pipe from each header that were completely seperate the whole time.

The DI/DO muffler is great, IMHO. It is like a muffler+x-pipe all in one economical unit. It also forces you to cut out that crappy y-fitting after the cats. I thought about this setup for quite a while but I couldn't find a shop around here willing to do it. I think the lightnings come with a DI/DO from the factory... Anyone??
