got a great deal on a set of pacesetter long tubes..
so i started to install today.

WHAT the Hell..????

got old header off easy.. then took like 3hrs just to get the long
tube between the frame and block..

i swear the headers are the wrong ones...

so try again tomorrow... maybe it will be my lucky day..

Hmm. Maybe they are. Because removal of OE is the most difficult part of the task. Unless you did not know the starter needed removed and such.

Been there done that, - make sure the AC's not in the way. It's a 30 second job taking the bracket loose.

Did you compare the stock manifolds to the new headers before trying to install them?

update

update on install

got drivers side off and new header installed in 1hr
only took that long because of two bolts that u can
only turn 1/6 with the wrench..

however passanger side... modifacation needs to be made..
one of the tubes is hitting the starter hub (casting on trans housing)
and not alowing the header to touch the heads..

so now i have to pull it out and dent the header .. and try again..

argh!!!

What is the part number of the headers. I recently got a set installed that fit perfectly.

Did you remove the starter, jack up the engine on the passenger side, etc?

ALRIGHT THEN...

Headers are installed !!!!!!!

it was so simple as i needed to move the trans dipstick tube out of the way.

now the y pipe..

passanger side is a good fit
the drivers side is too long buy like 8".
but lines up good.. so a little cut and were good

..
i forgot to get 02 sensor bungs to weld in so got to wait for those now.

I thought the instructions called for removing the trans dipstick?

And it didn't have O2 bungs installed already? Weird!

Anyway, glad ya got 'em in!

*edit*

Can't wait to hear exhaust vidyas with the supercharger and the Fartmaster replaced with a Magnaflow, Borla, or Dynomax muffler.

Yea, that and the AC line loose, depends upon who's destructions your reading I guess? - Very simple. It's hard to see that it's in the way, but it is.

Not sure why the motor was lifted. That's a first for me. Seems like it would make it allot harder IMO. That last thing you want to do is put those headers on a bind lowering the motor back in place. Could screw yourself, pretty easy that way. lol.
