Need Help with Full True-Dual Set-Up

I want to do this job in it's entirety. I have a 2004 5.4 SCREW 66in. I love Stainless Works set up but it is so pricey. Can I mix and match headers and hi-flow mid pipes? Cat's included? I am finding plenty of long tube headers but I am not sure what companies provide the mid pipes for what set of headers and so on. I am looking to do everything in ceramic or stainless because this is an expensive job and I only want to do it once. Please let me know what your suggestions are. Long tubes are a must!

OBX makes a nice pair of LTs for your year and it includes cats and midpipe if you so desire. BTW the expense part has nothing to do with only doing it once...its ALOT of work and the labor is why I would do it right the first time. Otherwise GL you'll love them!

Thanks for the link! I don't see any with the mid pipe. Do you know if it is included? Or do you think I should contact OBX?

Most folks get their exhausts shop fabricated after the headers.

I was going to but my understanding is that the shop does not use the high end stainless. At least that is what the guy at Midas told me. Should I keep calling around? Where I live, half of our taxes go to salt (for no reason might I add) so I am really concerned about the quality of the piping. Am I over analyzing it?

Midas uses aluminized steel most of the time as do most shops. Stainless is alot more expensive and you might have to request it but if salt is what they use its worth it. Keep calling around.

If you want to take the time to research the parts you will need, you could order a ton of stainless piping, with mandrel bends off of Mandrel Bending Solutions.com and have someone install your parts accordingly, if having stainless and mandrel is really that important to you.

What grade of stainless would hold up best in salt? I am also looking at doing true duals. Or should I get aluminum pipe and have the hole thing ceramic coated?

Having it coated would cost alot more in the end I would think. Stick with avfrog's suggestions and you'll be g2g.

At my local shop they ordered the stainless for me ,didnt really cost a whole lot more,i put a set of stailess headers stainless headers H pipe, two stainless resonators into two stainless magnaflows, now they did the same on my chevy 10 years ago with aluminized pipe and it still looks like new, but they dont put out much salt here either

Find you a shop somewhere that does this sort of piping. Surely there is one around your area. I bought all the parts i wanted to use and dropped the truck off. 300 in parts and the shop i use is about an hour and a half away. They use stainless piping and mandrel bend there exhaust. cost was 280 bucks for installation for true dual system out the back. so 580 total for 2 magnapacks 2 4inch magnaflow tips and x-pipe and installation with pipe
