Hey guys I am thinking about changing my exhaust. I was wondering if anybody has there exhaust coming out right before the rear passenger side tire. I want to do 2 four inch tips but dont know how it will look or sound. What do yall think?

 

wouldnt look bad but it would be very loud, i can tell u that. i did it on an 89 chevy 1500.

 

Don't go with straights! Run a magnapack or dynomax bullet.

 

i was thinking of doing the same, why not dual straights? im 15 almost 16 and i want an obnoxious pickup that can be heard miles away.

 

Magnapack with all cats removed it will be loud and actually sound good or all cats left in and straight pipes sounds ok

 

Straight pipes sound like ****. Get a bullet or magnapack, remove cats or replace cats with 94106 maggie cats.

You can be loud and sound good!

 

Preciate it but i got high flows with no mufflers and she pretty damn loud. Im about to put 2 mufflers back up there cause cops are starting to give me a little trouble.
dude with the 97 I don't know how loud you want to be but run true duals with a 12 in glasspack and cut the two back cats off. I had it like that on my 99 and it sounded great.

 

dads an officer and wont let me do anything to emissions, keeping all 4 cats and like i said just splitting the Y pipe dueling it from there.

 

^ You can run high flow cats and still pass emissions. fyi

 

i passed emission because i still had 2 cats up there but they were basically like the high flows because they were small. the high flows on my truck now were expensive because i had to get o2 sensors. do those dynomax bullets sound good compared to the cherry bomb glasspack?

I know this. between him and you and some others. it narrowed my options to borla..magnapacks.etc....
