I already have a SI/SO super 44 but its just not quite loud or aggressive enough and i want to go with a new sound. I want to stick with Flowmaster but my question is: should i buy another super 44 and run true duals dumped, or get a SI/DO super 10 and dump it?

Try the super 10, it's cheaper than the rest of the flowmasters and is stainless steel.

 

Dump it over the axle for the louder and better sound. The Super 10 will be louder than the 44

 

Another vote for the Super 10.

 

Super 10 SIDO. True dual Flowmasters do not sound right in these 4.6/5.4L engines, but single mufflers with dual tails sound quite nice.

MagnaFlow high flow cat's and si/do super 44 3" tubing from the y to the muffler is a very loud set up i have, can be heard from 2 blocks away. Si/do is the way to go with these trucks.

 

Super 10! I've got it and love it. It would sound even better with hi flow or rear cat delete.

 

Btw, I think I only paid 35-40 on ebay iirc.

 

ok thanks yall! one more question: should i just stick with 2.5" in and out or is there a setup involving 3" that would sound better with the super 10?

 

Running 3" from the Y pipe to the 3" inlet muffler sounds great, not many towing folks have reported any low end loss.

 

^ Unless your adamant about keeping your low end torque to the max for towing...

 

I can say that I felt way more power with my set up, I don't think you loose any torque!
