Borla XR-1 12" or 16"
I called and they weren't any help. They told me the 12" and 15" were almost the exact same, only difference being the shape and size. Lol
Well, I listened to the vids, I prefer my Allied's, while the Borlas do have a nice sound, they (as I have heard in person as well), have a 1980's oem corvette tone to them,...where the Allied's have a slightly deeper, "throatier" tone with a consistant rubmle both during accel & decel. Flow ratings are the same and the Allieds are available in 10" to 34" lengths (on my Mark LT I have duel catback 24"; my 65 mustang w/ 306 hp 289 has 34" twin pipes and our 97 Cougar Sport 4.6 has the 10" in place of the oem mufflers),...if I had to do it again on the Mark LT, I would go for 28" lenghs...which we were not sure if they (the 28") would position themselves allowing for reduced bends (shallow versus steep or tight radius) in the pipes....the 24" were safe but after install the 28" would work very, very well.

Summit did screw up my order though and did not get the package out on time so it looks like it is arriving Friday, so install will be Monday.
They did refund the cost of the overnight shipping to me though and said they are still overnighting it. Can't complain since I didn't even ask for that. Great customer service.
Photographic documentation? How does that interior look compared to most other straight through mufflers, pretty goofy looking with the oval tube inside the main interior tube.
No oval tube. I believe that was the older model XR-1s.
