CAI Regret

Has anyone installed a Cold Air Intake then regretted it? Is it worth the money? All input is welcome! Thanks!!

Im sure that the only regrets would be due to a irresponsible purchase of it ( buying a CAI before paying for the heat ), or putting one on a OEM tuned 3v and having it kill the engine.

Quite a few, actually. Those that later learned they had spent so much money for about 6 or 7 hp, which is all you get without a custom tune and those that made their truck run lean because they needed a custom tune.

Mine has a high pitched whistle at certain rpms that annoys the hell out of me. Spent 230 and could have spent 15 bucks on the gotts for similar gains. And like was mentioned above, u will need a tuner to maximize gains.
