Straight Pipe on stock exhaust, 1998 F150

The truck is a 5.4L V8 1998 F150. What I am going to do is cut out the muffler and replace with straight pipes, will this cause any harm to my truck, gas mileage, or any other stuff?

Possibly just a tiny drop in power and MPG but it might not even be enough to notice

The biggest problem with that, is that it will sound like garbage. At least throw a bullet muffler in there.

It will sound just fine. No harm will be done to your truck.

in my personal opinion it will sound like poo smells...

but then again you probably don't have neighbors to annoy so you'll only annoy yourself
