System Breakdown for the 98 5.4L Exhaust.
1. Pacesetters LT headers. 3" id collectors. These are approx 4.5" longer than OBX headers, for those interested. What sucks, there isn't much room for the converters. It can be done tho.
2. Magnaflow Hi-Flow Converters custom cut and fitted w/3"od x 2.5"id flanges. Welded directly to 3" id collectors.
3. Matched Y Mandrel bent.
4. 3" Cat Back w 22 x 4 x 3 Magnaflow Race Series muffler.
100% Weld.
Currently running a quieter muffler 22 x 9 x 3.
i'd say it's loud if it's a daily driver but like cosworth said, combo of high flows and that muffler, and yes i'd save up and buy the lt's first then work your way back, and install it alltogether, done once done right.

Would keeping the same parts but going Y and not duals quiet it down a lot? When I stand on it I want it to turn heads ... But not turn heads when I am just cruising by. I had slp loud mouth on my mustang ... And didn't think it was too loud till you hammered it.
Same set up as before, but went with a larger Magnaflow. From 22x4 to a 22x9.
This is right after reconnecting the battery.

Sounded allot better IMO, quiet , unless you get on it.
