true dual question

true dual question

i have a 2011 5.0 and want true duals but the shop i went to today told me they wouldnt be able to do it because it would throw a code. my thought was the new pipes will start after the cats and o2s. and fuel would trim its self out correctly right? or is what he saying true. need some help

Another stupid shop. If your not touching the cats or manifolds, then you will have 0 issues. You should go back to that shop and laugh at that in their face for being so stupid!

Go back up to that shop and tell him he is an idiot and he should kiss your ***! Find an other shop worthy of your hard earned cash. I can't stand some of these idiots tying to run a gosh darn business and don't know what the frick they are doing!

Will not throw a code unless catalytic converters are removed. He is right to steer you from true duals though. No use or reason for a half ton truck.

A shop told me the same thing about my truck when I was looking for an exhaust. I just went to a different one and they did it with no problem. If you're just replacing the muffler and leaving the cats alone then there's no way it can throw a code. There's nothing back there to let the truck computer know it's been changed

I liked mine too, sounded fantastic. But I still believe the 40k miles of work/play from the 20s/33s and true duals with no velocity lead to my 5200lb '04s dieing transmission. Had 5.4L and 3.73 LSD also.
