Question **Want a good but not too agressive sound**

I have an 03 King Ranch 5.4 V8 and I want to do something to the exhaust but i'm not real sure on what to do.

Right now its completly stock and I swear I hear cars that are louder than me! It has NO sound at all.

I want that truck sound...but nothing too agressive, idkif it akes sense but a sound thats a good look for the truck?

I'm not doing any crazy mods, no huge lifts, not an off road truck, nothing like that, so yeah...

Anyway, here are pics of the truck. Any vids/suggestions would be great! Thanks!

Do a cat back system, it will be quieter than a full manifold back and it will give you a nice sound at idle and give you a nice rumble when you get on it. I had a Flowmaster system on my F150 when I had it and I really liked the sound it.

Muffler swap with a 22" magnaflow oval body (stay away from the round bodied mufflers) and add a tip......shouldn't have any highway drone.....quiet rumble at idle......opens up when you get on it......

That was what I was thinking. I love the Flowmaster sound, but I suspect it is more aggressive than he wants.

go with a magnaflow. mine is 4x9x14. nice rumble at idle, subtle. but once ya get on the gas she opens up. at highway the drone is in the 65-70 range (1700-2000rpm) i like it cuz i hunt so ik that it wont spook the deer. its the perfect loudness and burble for me, probly wouldnt hurt to put in hi flo cats to open it up more, but ill cross that brige when i get there. anyway, good luck to ya buddy

The best thing is to go to YouTube and type in "f150 magnaflow 22" muffler exhaust" there is a ton of clips to be found there...

Im looking into the same thing for my 06 5.4 f150. Some thing a little rumble but not much louder than stock. Some ppl said to look at the magnaflow 11216 4" x 9" Oval 14" Body but now im thinking about looking into the magnaflow 12576 5" X 11" 22" Body stated in the post above as im learning the longer the muffler the quieter it will be. Any input?

I can about guarantee the 22" body on a 4 cat system 2v block with single 2.5" restricted exhaust tubing will not sound any different except on start up and WOT. I would go as bold as to suggest the 14" Magnaflow oval body or 18" at max to still be able to hear it.
