Corsa or Borla ?

I have a 2010 FX4 with a 5.4

What would be the difference between the Corsa db kit SISO and buying a Borla Pro XS muffler and replacing my stock muffler?

(other than the $300)

Different tones. Youtube and see what you like better. Borla will be a hell of lot of deeper, while Corsa has that muscle car sound. Also, the pipe size will be different. If your replacing just the muffler, then your still using your OEM pipe size (which I believe is 2.75") Corsa kit should be 3".

It's hard to tell with the youtube videos. Would you expect the same sound level in the cab with both systems? I spend a lot of my time at highway speeds. I favor the deeper tone but can't tolerate any drone.

I would guess that the corsa system will have the least drone.

these are the two systems i was down to when i bought mine a year ago, liked the deeper tone of the borla but i didn't want any drone since i tow a boat every weekend in the summer and i have a truck full of passengers. went with the corsa and like the fact that there is no drone even when towing my boat. on the highway cruising you can hardly tell it is there, if you get on it you can hear it then.

Corsa will be as quiet as stock inside, a deep toned tough straight pipe like note outside. Borla will hum a little inside but sound fantastically deep toned outside while being aggressive.

I would be OK with a little hum inside. I have not heard a Borla SISO on the new model trucks.
